What do Pancakes and Ketchup have in common? Nothing. According to my 3-year-old though, they are the perfect companions. Most people would go with the standard pancakes and syrup or even just good old butter. If you’re the kind of person that doesn’t like soggy pancakes and you eat slow, you might even keep the syrup on the side. But ketchup? I’m not so sure. I guess Lola likes to keep interesting. I have no picture because I just couldn’t do it. I couldn’t snap the shot. Sure I can take a picture of our dog eating a squirrel, but pancakes and ketchup…It was just too much.
But that’s not all…did you know ketchup is the perfect dipping sauce for bacon? I guess I can see how you would combine those two. Afterall, you put ketchup on a bacon cheeseburger, right? Why not dip your bacon in ketchup as though it were a french fry?
She certainly keeps things interesting. A regular outside the box thinker. I’ll be taking a couple of plays from her “I don’t follow societal norms because I’m three” playbook. Not the ketchup one, though. That’s just a bit too risky. Maybe I’ll copy some of her dance moves or her clothing choices. Who says stripes and patterns don’t go together?
