Photo a Day – Day 2: colour

Today was colour or as the non-brits call it color.  I struggled with color.  I know.  It’s Day 2 and I’m already struggling.  This is what happens when you are a Type A creative, you are both wildly all over the place and completely obsessed with perfection.  It’s great.

So I wanted the perfect shot of color and nothing came to me.  My friend, Abigail posted her lovely picture.

Look at that cute kid under a wonderfully crafted piece of color art with the gorgeous wood background.  I wanna take a cute picture too!  Wah, woe is me.  I warned you.  Color was  a struggle today.  I was drawing little to no inspiration from my surroundings. As a last ditch effort, I took the below picture while waiting on Lola during her swim practice.

It wasn’t my favorite, but I like the red tile and the blue water.  That’s all I could muster of color.  Then on the ride home, I spied my favorite splash of bizarro color in Dallas.

Apparently color was all around.

  1. I love “our” wall! Seth’s parents used to live in the area during their high school years, and the wall was painted back then, too. Seth, who grew up in The Colony, has memories of this big long, painted wall, but never knew where is was. Who knew he’d grow up to live right down the street from it!?
