This post started out on a bit of a low note because sometimes I see things on the internet and I panic. I’m not talking Pinterest people. Though truth be told, if you spend enough time on Pinterest it’s bound to induce a bit of panic. What I’m talking about are some of the amazing things ordinary people are doing in the world. Like Strong Inside Out or I Like Giving to name a few. There are thousands of people like them, making a difference every day and sometimes I wonder if I’m making a difference at all. Cue Debbie Downer music.
And just as I was feeling down, I read this excerpt from another inspiring site.
When you watch someone perform, you’re seeing them at the top of their game. When they score the winning point or sell their company for millions — you’re seeing them in their moment of glory. What you don’t see is the thousands of hours of preparation. You don’t see the self-doubt, the lost sleep, the lonely nights spent working. You don’t see the moment they started. The moment they were just like you, wondering how they could ever be good.
Truth. So instead of being all whiny and first world problemish, check out this amazing video from the above author.
